Easy Peanut Butter Pie

A cool and creamy peanut butter pie that is so easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

20 Oreos crushed

1/4 cup melted butter

For the Filling:

8 oz room temperature cream cheese

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1 cup heavy cream

For the Topping:

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 Tablespoon powdered sugar

*optional chopped peanuts and chocolate for garnish

Instructions

For the crust: process the Oreos in a food processor into crumbs.  Add the melted butter and mix to combine.  Press the Oreo mixture into a 9″ pie pan and bake for 7 minutes at 350 to set.*

For the filling: whip 1 cup of heavy cream until medium stiff peaks form.  In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese and 3/4 cup powdered sugar to combine.  Add the peanut butter to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well incorporated.  Fold in the whipped cream.  Spread the peanut butter mixture into the cookie crust and chill the pie for one hour before adding the topping.

For the topping: mix the 1 1/2 cups heavy cream and 1 Tablespoon powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.  Spread the whipped cream over the top of the peanut butter pie.  Garnish with optional melted chocolate or chocolate syrup and crushed peanuts.

Notes

To make this a no-bake dessert, mix the crushed Oreos and butter together and press into the pan.  Rather than baking the cookie crust, place it in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.  Proceed with the recipe as written.
